Everyone, as you can see it's been sometime since I've posted any work on the site for sale. I've been very busy tending to the family needs and summer fine art fairs but I hope to get back on the ball this fall. Mean while stay tuned.

These piece were create today after I cleaned the studio and while sorting my papers that were all over the place I decided to pick a few for my Tack Down Tuesday's project. Piece un matted are the sizes shown in description if matted smaller one would be a 8 x 10 and the larger one would be a 11 x 14 size.

Collage Demo, and mounting.

1. cut tape off last piece that was put on gets cut off first. If tape tears off or you cut thought the watercolor paper this is what you can do.

2. cut throw the paper in some spots.

3. exacto knife cut around all the edges after the tape is off. Make sure you have a good cutting surface underneath.

4. collage cut away from watercolor paper.

5. Small amount of acrylics and a small paint brush are needed, to finish the edge of the watercolor paper.

6. Paint the edge let dry.

7. cut another piece of watercolor paper, this one is going to be 11 x 14 ready for matting. Put tacky glue on the back all over and center image on watercolor paper and apply some pressure. Let dry for about 2 hours with a book or something solid and flat.

8. piece is finished and ready for framing or a mat added. If you decide to not mat you will need spacer so the glass doesn't sit on artwork. Not a good thing to do.

I took these picture kind of fast this after noon to show my class what to do. They are advancing nicely but the tape cutting does pose a problem.

This collage was created as a challange today to see if I could make a 1 inch size collage. Now I could have cut a collage down to size but that would be to each. I'm working with all these colors now in another series so if this doesn't sell It will be in with the other series.
